Salisbury-Rowan Symphony Guild

The Guild is an affiliate of the Symphony Society with membership open to all who are interested in working to promote and support the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra. The Guild meets 5 times per year and sponsors events that are beautiful, sometimes elegant, always useful to the community and most importantly, a source of camaraderie and fun. Mission

The mission of the Guild is to promote and support the Salisbury-Rowan Symphony Society and its music education opportunities. The mission is carried out through concert attendance, financial gifts, fund-raising events, supporting education programs and promoting the symphony in the community.

A Brief History

The Salisbury-Rowan Symphony Guild was created in 1977 at the home of Blanche Robertson with founding President Mary Messinger. Since that time, this versatile group of men and women continuously promotes and supports the symphony. During the 2006/2007 Symphony Season, through the efforts of over 200 members, $20,000 was contributed to the symphony.
