COVID-19 pandemic forces a beloved community event to go online

It was just a few months ago that everyone was asking "Are we going to have the annual Pops at the Post performance at the new 'Bell Tower Green' Park?  Then, with the pandemic closing down public performances, the question became 'Are we having Pops at the Post' at all?

Your Pops at the Post planning committee got together and decided that we simply couldn't cancel Salisbury's favorite outdoor community concert event!  They found a collection of videos from Pops events over the years, and managed to craft an online performance for all of us to see, allowing us to remember and celebrate some of the very best things about our community.

HOW TO WATCH: Saturday, June 6th at 7:30pm:

TELEVISION:  Access 16 (Spectrum Access 16, Hotwire Channel 397 - NOTE CORRECTED CHANNEL NUMBER.)

Just like the Pops event in any other year, this year's event is FREE.  All you have to do is fire up your grill, order your favorite takeout, or make your favorite picnic recipe and enjoy the performance from your living room armchair.  Kent Bernhardt hosts this virtual event, which will be available online at and on local cable TV (Access 16 (Spectrum Access 16, Hotwire Channel 297).

Announcement: The 2019-20 Season is now officially CANCELLED

At their Tuesday, April 7th meeting the Salisbury Symphony Board of Directors made the painful and difficult decision to cancel the remaining performance of the 2019-2020 season scheduled for Friday, May 15th (originally scheduled for Saturday, May 16th), due to considerations of the coronavirus pandemic.  We do not yet have information to share about the upcoming season due to uncertainties about whether we will even be permitted to have large concerts by then.  If you have purchased a flex-pass pack for 2019-2020 and still have unused passes, watch our website for special offers when we start up our new season again.  We encourage everyone to sign up for our e-mail notification list and watch our Facebook page for breaking news as it becomes available.  As always, we sincerely thank you for your support.
