The SSO and You...

We Make Beautiful Music Together!

Dear Symphony Enthusiast;

We know you are one of our many supporters who appreciate having a professional symphony orchestra home-based right here in our own community.  After all, right now you are checking out the great things coming up in 2019-2020 on our website, and I'm betting that you like what you're seeing!

I'll also bet that you appreciate the fact that the Symphony sponsors special family-oriented performances, and also offers music instruction and educational programs such as the Elementary "Mini-concerts," After School Strings instruction and our own Salisbury Symphony Youth Orchestra.

Buying a concert ticket or even a Flex-Pass 5-Pack of tickets helps, of course.  It not only offsets some of the costs of our performances, but it also helps us to know a little more about what our audiences most want to see.  Even with great audiences, having a professional symphony orchestra in our hometown requires a very special dedication and commitment from those of us who feel that having a wide variety of Arts offerings and experiences is vitally important to the health and success of our community.

You’re probably aware that ticket sales cover only about 25% of the total costs of our symphony orchestra.  The rest comes from foundation grants, and sponsorships and contributions from a host of individuals just like you… people who recognize the value of the Arts in our community and want to be counted among our supporters.

So here is your opportunity!  Below are the levels we will be recognizing this year in our concert programs. Not only will you be recognized for your supporting role with our Symphony, but you will receive a membership card which will entitle you to special premiums at concerts, discounts on future ticket purchases and invitations to members-only receptions and special events.   At our next concert stop by the new “Donor/Member Welcome” table in the lobby and see what we have to offer!

Here are the special “Donor Circles” we will be honoring for this year’s program listings:

For gifts of $2,500 or more we also offer limited opportunities to sponsor particular concerts, principal chairs, soloists and educational programs.  Sponsors are recognized both in the “donor circles” listed on concert programs and also separately for the particular items that they sponsor.   If you have an interest in dedicating your particular contribution to a particular concert, artist or program, we encourage you to contact Bill Bucher or Hunter Scott Safrit at the Symphony office to see what “naming opportunities” are still available.

Thank you very much for supporting our hometown symphony, the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra!
