Dear Symphony Friend and Supporter,
As I am sure you already know, the Salisbury Symphony was forced to end our 2019-2020 Concert Season early due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The situation required us to cancel our last two performances, and more recently you may have heard that Salisbury’s favorite outdoor symphony concert, Pops at the Post, was also cancelled for this June.
Normally at this time of year we are already hard at work selling tickets for a new season. planning fundraisers and gathering sponsorships for concerts, but this pandemic has put all of those activities “on hold,” and as a result, our cash flow has slowed to a trickle. Frankly, we need your support, perhaps now more than ever.
So we’re looking for a few “community investors”... people who recognize value when they see it. We would like to make you a very special offer: In exchange for donations of $150 we are offering our newly created “Golden Ticket” good for admittance to a total of five SSO concerts of your choice, which you may select from performances offered during either the coming season (2020-21) or the next season (2021-22), For gifts of $250 or more we are offering TWO Golden Tickets, and in addition, the first 100 people who send us $250 or more will receive a $25 gift card from our 2020-21 promotional partner, La Cava Restaurant of Salisbury.* (Of course, as in the past, all donors who gift $100 or more will be recognized as “Symphony Members” in our concert programs.)
Sound enticing? I hope so! If so, click on “Golden Ticket” logo at the top of this page where it says "CLICK HERE" And on that day when we do resume our concerts – and I give you my personal assurance that we will! – we plan to dedicate a special section of our concert programs recognizing those who have chosen to support the Symphony even when they didn’t know when we would be coming back. Your kind and generous “investment” gift will assure that we are ready to start back up as soon as the opportunity arrives.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of this unique request... Please respond quickly if you want one of those gift cards from La Cava! And in the meantime I hope that you continue to stay safe and
healthy until we can see you at one of our concerts again!
